CDR-2207: SR Set: Ancient Near Eastern: Architecture and Sculpture

This selection draws heavily on the collections in the Louvre and the Metropolitan museums and includes important representative objects from the major cultures of the Ancient Near East: Akkadian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Elamite, Sumerian, Achaemenid Persian, Sassanian, and Parthian, as well as Neolithic and Iron Age objects. Included are the Victory Stele of Naram-Sin, the Stele of Hammurabi, statues of Gudea, and the statue of Queen Napirasu. Sites photographed include Persepolis and the tombs and relief sculpture at Naqsh-i Rustam, including the Sassanian Triumph of Shapur I.
