CDR-1110: SR Set: Barbizon School

During the mid nineteenth century, influenced by the work of Constable, a group of French painters gathered at the village of Barbizon near Fontainebleau forest to paint realistic scenes from nature rather than the more acceptable formal subjects of the day. Among them are included Corot, Daubigny, Millet and Rousseau. Some, especially Millet, chose to portray the humble dignity of peasants in their daily life. Our set includes a range of works of these artists of the so-called Barbizon School Please note: Academic Image Sets are offered to show the breadth of our collections. You do not need to order an entire set; you can also order individual images from each Set.
