CDR-1157: SR Set: Indian Paintings and d'object arts

Developed largely out of religious traditions from the elaborate mythologies of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and together with later Islamic and European influence, Indian painting is composed of colorful subjects and an exquisite delicacy of detail. The works in our Image Set range from wall paintings to elegant miniatures from Mughal ateliers. The bulk of our selection is from the rich collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and in direct reference to their work on Indian Painting: From Cave Temples to the Colonial Period by Joan Cummins, 2006. This group of images only highlights our offerings; for a more extensive selection please contact Renate Wiedenhoeft, renate@scholarsresource.com.
