CDR-1283: SR Set: Britain's Stately Homes

The stately homes of England are among the country's finest treasures. Generations of families have maintained them (at great effort) as storehouses of history, heritage and culture, with magnificent grounds and parks and fabulous art collections. While many are now owned and managed by the National Trust, others are still in private hands; most of them can be visited, at least at certain times of the year. Our Image Set offers a glimpse of this bygone era. This set includes many images from Bridgeman that are new to Scholars Resource. September 2011
