CDR-1240: SR Set: The British in India
The British Crown rule in India and the ultimate coronation of Queen Victoria as Empress of the British Empire is documented in this Image Set. Beginning with the East India Company and followed by more formal British rule, finally ending with the separation of India into Muslim Pakistan and Hindu India and the subsequent British withdrawal in 1947, these images explore the colorful history and many of the still-remaining monuments to the British Raj.
