Because of restrictions placed by museums in which these images have been photographed, and in keeping with the mission of Scholars Resource, images available on this web site are subject to the following license:

License Granted to Educational Institutions

Images are licensed to qualified educational institutions for classroom teaching and research use by signing a Site License Agreement. Digital images are not licensed to individuals and commercial entitie. For some digital images reproduction rights are available, please inquire to info@scholarsresource.com.

Each vendor contributing to Scholars Resource has established a licensing procedure unique to their needs. Apply for a site license.

Thumbnail images may be downloaded and integrated into an image database or similar software program, and may be made freely available to students and faculty at such institutions. Images may not be redistributed outside of such educational institutions in any format. For more information please see.

All images of art or architecture from the Saskia, Hartill and Archivision archives are the original creation of these contributors and are protected under International Copyright Laws and contract law.

Should you wish to publish an image still protected under copyright law, kindly consult the artist or copyright holder for permission to do so.

Images purchased in electronic form are licensed for network use, with some restrictions. See Site License Agreement for complete details.

Digitizing contributor slides without written permission is a violation of copyright and contract laws. If you would like to use thumbnail images to index your collection, you may download these from our website, or contact us to order them on CD-ROM.

Slides

Slides are sold under the express condition that they will be used for teaching and study purposes only. Slides may be projected via normal slide projector for classroom and lecture use. No purchased slide may be reproduced by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, digital scanning, slide duplication, or any other means now known or yet to be invented, without prior written permission from Scholars Resource.

Returns

If you are dissatisfied with the quality of any slide purchased from Scholars Resource, return it within thirty days with a brief explanation of the problem. Please specify whether you would like a refund or an exchange.

Credit Card Orders

Credit card orders must include the billing address of the cardholder, card expiration date, and phone number.

Additional Information

Original Color Slides (camera originals) and high resolution digital images are offered to qualified educational institutions only. Educational institutions not familiar with Scholars Resource slides may receive a number of original color slides on approval for one week.

Reproduction rights for many images may be purchased for a fee. Please contact us for exact pricing.

Scholars Resource gathers certain information from visitors to this site. We gather the following information when opening an account: Name, Title, Department, Institute, Street, City, State, Zip, Country, Telephone and Fax numbers, and e-mail address. Providing this information is voluntary and is used only for processing orders and sending periodic mailings (if selected).

In no case does Scholars Resource ever provide any of our mailing list information or any information on usage gathered from this site to any outside party. We will never sell, exchange or give away your information. A note on cookies: This site uses "cookies" to remember who you are from page to page. Without this technology, the web site doesn't "know" who you are as you move through the site, and thus cannot keep track of things you order. If you have cookies turned off (or are using a browser that doesn't support them), you will receive an error message whenever you try to order something. This cookie does not store any personal information about you, it is simply a number that points to your record in our internal database.

You may browse the site without logging in; however we require that you provide your email address and a password in order to store lists of items. We do this so we can recall your list when you return to our site. Credit Card Policy: We do not maintain online records of your credit card information. Each time you order, you will be asked to re-enter your credit card number. This is done for your protection.
