Original Slides have been the hallmark of Saskia quality for thirty years. Saskia, Ltd. Cultural Documentation is the only major vendor still offering camera-original slides. We take multiple exposures in front of the actual work of art or architecture, and sell a true camera original. Original slides are sold in plastic mounts with printed information, and should be re-mounted under glass prior to projection. Only educational institutions and qualified professionals may purchase original slides.
Digital Slides start as a digital master, taken either in front of the work of art with a professional digital camera (capturing 32MB files), or captured on our on our high-resolution scanner from a 4×5 or 35mm original film master . We record this digital master onto film using the best film recorder available.
Duplicate color slides are first generation copies made from originals. Many of our most popular originals (for example those listed in textbooks) have been copied and are available as duplicates. They are sold ready for projection in plastic mounts with documentary labels affixed.
Black and white 8×10 Prints of Works of Art in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome are available for each monument in the Basilica. Please check our listings for each work from St. Peter’s on the website or inquire directly. Cost of each archival-quality print is $30.00.

Slides are sold under the express condition that they will be used for teaching and study purposes only. Slides may be projected via normal slide projector for classroom and lecture use. No purchased slide may be reproduced by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, digital scanning, slide duplication, or any other means now known or yet to be invented, without prior written permission from Scholars Resource.
Original Color Slides (camera originals) and high resolution digital images are offered to qualified educational institutions only.
